A simply stunning vintage Movado Art Deco-style tank wristwatch in 18ct Gold, circa 1940s.
Tripple-stepped tank-style case in 18ct Gold with decorative claw-style lugs and highly-domed crystal. Inside case back bearing the Movado logo, case number 3886 and serial number 375176; signifying the watch is 18ct gold, circa 1940.
Ivory dial with alternately applied Arabic numerals and chevron markers in Gold, with a sunken subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o'clock. Both main and subsidiary dials are surrounded with a printed minute/second track in black. Dial signed 'Movado', 'Fab Suisse' and 'Switzerland'.
Movado calibre 375 15-jewel manual movement with Geneva stripe decoration.
Fitted to a replacement brown croc grain leather strap with gold-tone buckle.
Fully cleaned, serviced and ready to wear.
Case measures 24mm, excluding crown.
